About the Business
As a small, independent guest house (5 rooms), we can offer a friendly and personalised service and aim to ensure our guests feel at home. Having read other reviews before staying here we were expecting good things, although being somewhat cynical I was not totally convinced it was going to be as good as reported, and to be fair it wasn't, it was far better, spotlessly clean, great breakfast, good location and at the risk of embarrassing Darren he was a great host. As a tour operator, I am always pleased to book our clients at Alcuin Lodge B&B in York.
Darren takes exceptionally good care of each and every guest. His love of York is expressed through his helpful consideration to each and every person who stays at Alcuin. We have had nothing but positive feedback from our clients. This is the most beautiful guest house I have ever stayed in. Darren the owner was so welcoming and his home is amazingly clean and pristine.
