About the Business
Beth Eden is owned by Christians, and we aim to run the business on Christian lines. This means that we seek to show a high level of care to both guests and staff, as well as the wider world through supporting eco-friendly and FairTrade products. We have a programme of Christian devotional meetings both morning and evening. These are often led by a guest speaker, otherwise by David Sales, one of the proprietors. They include a Bible reading, talk, singing, and prayer. The meetings are entirely optional, but open to all.
Neither all the staff, nor all the guests are Christians, and we welcome people of all faiths and none. We do not follow any particular denominational line, other than seeing the Bible as the basis of our belief and teaching.
Beth Eden was originally two houses, both built over 100 years ago as hotels. The two houses were joined together 40 years ago, shortly after coming into Christian ownership.
