The Britannia has its own gated, private car park close to the Southsea sea front and holiday activities. Its location lends itself to easy access to the city of Portsmouth, University and Commercial centre.
Pauline Mitchell welcomes you to the Britannia Guest House. The Britannia Guest House has been established for 20 years with the same ownership and has acquired a substantial reputation for its high standards of cleanliness and personal service. Britannia obtained its name as Pauline's husband had served nine of his twenty two years in the Royal Navy on board Her Majesty's Royal Yacht Britannia, now exhibited in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Victorian house is grand in style being built in 1885 and boasts some fantastic features, including high ceilings with deep ornate cornices and the original, traditionally tiled floors. We offer our guests large bright spacious rooms that are decorated and furnished to a high standard (See photographs).
