About the Business
It is doubtful that any part of Britain is more richly endowed with natural beauty and historic interest that this region. Ancient history is reflected in the cave-dwelling at Arthur's cave near Whitchurch, Arthur's Stone above Bredwardine, and Iron Age forts such as those at Dinedor and Herefordshire Beacon. Castles such as Raglan, Skenfrith, Chepstow, Grosmont and many others are relics of the Border Wars. Henry V, Lord Nelson, Nell Gwynne and other famous historical figures were born here or have close connections. Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester all have fine cathedrals, while at Tintern is the beautiful ruin of a Cistercian Abbey. Centuries old villages of half-timbered houses abound, the most fascinating being Weobley, Pembridge and Eardisland.
