Rigsby's is a beautiful period grade ll listed prominent building, built circa 1750. It features in many old photos of Hertfords streets and was of some importance within the town's history. In recent times 25 St Andrew Street has been both commercial and residential. The previous owners lived in the house for many years prior to which it was an antique shop. In 2003 we purchased the property which subsequently underwent fairly extensive restoration to its current state. The back kitchen and bride shop were once fairly primitive barns and out buildings, whilst the more substantial outbuilding was used by Hertford Dramatic and Operatic society in the 50's. Prior to that, the local hall was used to show small films and newsreels during the war and small functions and productions were organized and performed at the premises. YMCA.
