About the Business
The Bield is a large Victorian house built of sandstone in 1900. Our Bed and Breakfast rooms are decorated to a high standard and we have a comfortable guest lounge to relax in. We have tried to keep and restore as many of its original features. We have private off road parking for our guests and we are able to provide safe storage for bikes. The house overlooks the lovely village of Aberfoyle in the Trossachs Scotland, with all its wonderful scenery. The Village is only a few minutes walk away and has some great pubs and places to eat.
Aberfoyle is situated in the heart of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area of outstanding beauty with mountains, lochs and glens. With many miles of walking and cycling routes starting from Aberfoyle, its an ideal base for seeing this lovely part of Scotland. The newly refurbished David Marshall Lodge Forest Visitor Centre with its walks and waterfall is only 10 minutes walk away from The Bield.
